About Me

The Story of a Photographer

Hello everyone! I'm Amber and I welcome you to Split Creek Photography!

I'm the mother of two boys, and have been married over a decade to my high school sweetheart. I work in home health currently as a care taker of a very spunky, fun, speical needs/wheel chair bound, teenager. I'm a full time boy mom of two, and dabble with wood working in my "spare" time. And wife to a mechanic, I feel for any of you who also have to listen to how much a pain a wiring harness is, or that the infamous 10mm went missing again! haha! I love to read, music is a life saver, and nature is a beautiful healer.

My love for photography started as a child. Growing up in the country the scenery is always beauitful. Weither its a sunset, watching the rain move in from across the farmers field, or a fresh untouched snow that covers everything. Seeing the power of a horse coming around a barrel at the local fun show, or catching my brother and his friends latest antics on their dirt bikes.

There was always something I wanted to catch in the moment. As I got older, it turned into catching those times of my husband doing something funny to all the moments of my children growing up. Everything we see, feel, and touch, is a moment in time that we can't get back. It could be you're childs first fun show on their new pony, the first time ever hitting grand stands at Evansville, or the last time your child will have school photos their senior year. I know I would never want to miss those moments, and I try my hardest to capture them for you through my photography.

I'm learning and growing as a person and a photographer everyday and I'd love to be apart of making your memories last through images. I look forward to working with you and if you have any questions please reach out or if you see me out and about dont be affraid to say hi!

Lastly, my husband, Kyle also steps in at times to take photos so dont be affraid to say hi to him either if you see him out and about!
